Richard Feynman?

"Necro rapped over a death metal blast beat on the track "Suffocated to Death by God's Shadow", with the drums being played by Mike Smith from the band Suffocation, a feat which physicist Richard Feynman said was " unimaginable."" - Really? Please show me a citation for this. PLEASE. I would just LOVE to see where Feynman commented on the unlikelihood of a rapper being able to perform over a death metal beat. 82.32.160.97 (talk) 23:27, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

I concur. The waybackmachine doesn't have snaps of the alleged source. -- 93.193.187.100 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 09:47, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

Who the hell wrote this crap, the guy's frickin' publicist? This is not the place for marketing language or opinion, it it for strict and unadorned facts.

Comment

Please remove the trivia section from this, much of it is nonsense and the rest is poorly written.

Jan 2009: This article has been vandalized too many times. I put in the effort of putting in a factual relevant well-written piece of info and it gets blindly deleted. Can moderators do something about this? -JCNY —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.3.144.189 (talk) 02:03, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

MySpace is not a reputable source

The article is way too long considering the subject matter. If I wanted to hear about how Necro is so great, I'd go to his myspace page. TuPac deserves a long page, Biggie and Snoop deserve long pages. Necro does not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.118.195.52 (talk) 07:02, 25 February 2008 (UTC) What does your opinion have to do with this article? gtfo.

While I don't rate Necro all that highly as a rap artist, the above commenter is correct. Your personal opinion and/or musical taste is irrelevant as long as the article only presents facts about the subject of said article. Since we're on the subject of whether rappers deserve a long article based on their worth as a performer, I would debate your assertion that Snoop Dogg deserves a lengthy article. By your logic that determines the length of an article on those criteria, his article could simply read as follows -

"Snoop Doggy Dogg is a rapper who smokes a lot of weed, drinks a lot of Tankeray gin and claims to be a pimp. He has re-released basically the same album repeatedly throughout his entire career, with the exception of the brief time during which he pretended to be a Rasta." 82.32.160.97 (talk) 23:24, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Someone has to update this Biography. His last album was "The Prefix for Death".

This article is a bit too effusive, doesn't match the tone of other musician bios.

I cut a bunch of the stuff that was making this article read like an advertisement as well as outdated info. Still not perfect, but much better in my opinion. Buzda 08:06, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

Added the Blood Brothers album to the collaborations, as its not Necro alone, but Necro & Ill Bill, i also changed the year from 2005 to 2006.

The Biography seems to be written by someone with zero grasp for the english language. Reads like an ebonics lesson. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.27.8.175 (talk) 21:07, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

NPOV?

I believe that the current version is sufficiently NPOV to remove the 'advertisement' tag. Any objections? Colonel Tom 06:03, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

{{advert}} removed as no objections recorded. Colonel Tom 05:20, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

The relations with Ill Bill

It isn't true that Necro and Ill Bill are brothers, they are in fact cousins. They do portray themselves as brothers for living under the same roof as children. If I correctly remember, Necros father raised both boys. I'm such a new user of wikipedia that I'd rather not try to make these corrections, but someone else should.

Piritiri 00:54, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

they're brothers.... ---burgz. 19:42, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah they are in fact brothers

nECRO RULES

Stop vandalizing this article already

Congradulations, you hate Necro. Now get a fucking life. Buzda 03:27, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

I have a life. Which is why I hate necro.

Then you deserve your life for being such an ignorant human being. R-Tiztik 18:27, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

okay

Removed the following parts in an attempt to make the article sound less like a Necro ad:

"A Necro headlining performance draws an average of 300-500 people in cities such as New York City, London, Chicago, Toronto, Providence, etc. Across the U.S., Necro can pack in 100-500 people depending on the state and region. Necro's live appeal continues to grow especially in New York City, where his shows have grown more turbulent with the audience stage diving and starting mosh pits."

"Necro's fan base is worldwide and this is evident by the 100+ million hits he has received on his official website, www.necrohiphop.com. Every day the website receives 10,000 unique user sessions and the numbers are intensed to grow. With an online merchant account, www.necrohiphop.com has received orders for Psycho+Logical-Records and Necro Films merchandise from places as diverse as Australia, South Africa, Germany, Japan, Iceland and the United Kingdom."

Both pieces strike me as unencyclopaedic, somewhat POV, and kind of sycophantish. No hate.

Reworded some parts. Still needs work; heavy on the passive voice. --Marco Passarani 03:32, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Well the main reason those parts seem so unencyclopedic is because most of this article was a copy+paste job of Necro's bio on his official site. Buzda 06:03, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

you should get some pics

What is this comparison for? "In evidence of this success, what allegedly took Wal-Mart 11 years and 15 locations to gross over $1 million in sales, Necro made over $1.2 million by 2006, in half the time." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.171.73.200 (talk) 01:47, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

other films he has directed

you can find them here:

there is another... i cant remember the name, but it was on youtube... it has a girl dancing and doing coke before a man comes, shoots someone in the head and leaves money lying there —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heatsketch (talkcontribs) 19:38, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Sexorcist.jpg

Image:Sexorcist.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sources required for everything printed

Hello. I am just reminding people for the umpteenth time (you know who you are) that reliable third party sources are required for every single word of text we print in this article. The same applies to categories. JBsupreme (talk) 17:25, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Would anyone like to discuss this? Blanking user talk pages is hardly the solution. JBsupreme (talk) 18:23, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
agreed, i think a source should be there for necro coming under death metal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by The-deejjj (talkcontribs) 11:17, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Not improvement

Oh sure let's blank the entire article and leave just the controversy section mentioning how he got booed off stage and got shit thrown at him. Nice work guys. -- œ 17:53, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Punch In's/ Outs

Srsly. Whoever keeps adding/reverting

"He is known for his extensive use of studio punch-ins, seldom recording a verse in one take."

Needs to get a life.

I'm sick of having to fix it every 3 days —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.149.233.196 (talk) 13:05, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Again so, 5 days. Total BS. Wikipedia isnt for opinions 68.149.233.196 (talk) 21:56, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Some articles, notably Al Pacino, are being linked to every time the phrase occurs in this article. This is not necessary, is distracting and is counseled against in the Wikipedia Manual of Style - [[1]]. Please refrain from excessive wikilinking.
